My Goat Tea series was inspired by a visit to the Guarnacci Etruscan Museum in Volterra, Italy. In this Tuscan hilltop town, I found rooms of small sarcophagi upon which sculpted human figures reclined, all holding banquest vessels, enjoying themselves for eternity. My
figures, hold tea bowls and invite the viewer to share a
draft.
